ABOUT TURNING POINT USA AT UNG
Get to Know Us

OUR CHAPTER
Turning Point USA at UNG is one of the college chapters representing the national organization, Turning Point USA. Our founder, Charlie James Kirk, created this organization in 2012 to encourage the younger generations to fight for their freedom, faith, and other American values that have, in recent years, been slowly taken away from us.
In 2019, the University of North Georgia was proud to establish it's own chapter. Over the last 6 years, Turning Point USA at UNG has helped students all over campus understand what it means to be a
Patriot and how to fight for the rights and liberties we are granted under the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution.
After the assassination of Charlie Kirk, college students across the America and world could no longer allow their voices to be stolen. This nation wide outbreak of support for Kirk's mission has inspired many UNG students to expand the Turning Point chapter on campus.
OUR BELIEFS
The following is a list of values we practice and promote within the Turning Point chapter on campus:
-
Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God, who sacrificed Himself on the cross for the sins of the world, and resurrected three days later to redeem us all.
-
Limited Government
-
Individual Liberties
-
Only two sexes exist (Male and Female)
-
Capitalist Free-Market Society is the best economy
-
All life begins at conception and is valuable
-
United States citizens should have their Right to Bear Arms protected as stated under the 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution
OUR MISSION
We, at the Turning Point USA at UNG chapter, believe we are obligated to promote the rights and liberties granted to us by our Founding Fathers and Almighty Creator. For far too long, we have let big government step on us, slowing stripping us of our freedoms. With rising political tension, educating our peers hasn't been more important than right now. Our founder, Charlie Kirk, once said "When people stop talking, really bad stuff starts. When marriages stop talking, divorce happens. When civilizations stop talking, civil war ensues. When you stop having a human connection with someone you disagree with, it becomes a lot easier to want to commit violence against that group." Now that Charlie Kirk is no longer with us, it is up to us to pick up his microphone, and begin doing what he has trained us to do; to speak with others peacefully and listen with empathy.
